Umutomboko Ceremony

The Umutomboko Ceremony Celebrates the migration of the Lunda people to Zambia from Kola in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the victories they recorded over other tribes as they traveled. The day’s events culminate with the performance of a victory dance, the Mutomboko, by His Royal Highness Mwata Kazembe XIX of the Lunda people. Hilton Arts Festival 

This is one of South Africa’s biggest theatre festivals and has been taking place for over 30 years, attracting around 25,000 people annually. The event has left an indelible mark on the South African theatre, music and arts landscape.

Street Culture Festival

This event celebrates Zambian street culture and features urban dance (jerking, dougie, hip hop, etc.), skateboarding, rap battles and many more forms of creative expression. Be sure to attend this event which aims to foster positivity and growth across generations, especially among youths. The festival runs from 10 am to 5 pm.
