Umutomboko Ceremony
The Umutomboko Ceremony Celebrates the migration of the Lunda people to Zambia from Kola in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the victories they recorded over other tribes as they traveled. The day’s events culminate with the performance of a victory dance, the Mutomboko, by His Royal Highness Mwata Kazembe XIX of the Lunda people. Street Culture Festival
This event celebrates Zambian street culture and features urban dance (jerking, dougie, hip hop, etc.), skateboarding, rap battles and many more forms of creative expression.
