Welcome On Board Proflight
Dear Esteemed Passengers,
Welcome aboard. As Zambia’s leading regional airline, Proflight Zambia is relaunching its direct Lusaka-Durban route starting from April 2023 as we pursue our ambition to expand our route network and business in the region.
Durban becomes the second international destination in South Africa serviced by Proflight. We will operate flights on Thursdays beginning April 6 and Sundays beginning April 16, with a special Tuesday flight on April 11 for Easter weekend returns. On other days, flights are available to Durban via our Johannesburg flights.
Flights depart Lusaka from Kenneth Kaunda International Airport at 09:00hrs, arriving in Durban at King Shaka International Airport at 11:30hrs. The return flight leaves Durban at 12:30hrs, arriving in Lusaka at 15:00hrs.
We are delighted to announce the relaunch of this important route. The Lusaka-Durban route was suspended in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As an airline, we continue to follow health safety measures by adhering to public health guidelines on COVID-19 throughout the journey. The resumption of the Lusaka-Durban route is a clear indication of our commitment to growth and regional expansion. We believe this expansion will give our customers access to two key commercial centers in South Africa: Johannesburg and now Durban.
The route will be serviced by our CRJ-100 and CRJ-200 aircraft, providing our passengers with comfortable travel options. Durban enjoys significant demand for flights to South Africa and is South Africa’s second most important manufacturing hub after Johannesburg, with numerous major multinational companies.
Durban is also South Africa’s third largest city and one of its leading vacation destinations, with many attractions for visitors. Long beaches lapped by the warm Indian Ocean, a mild subtropical climate, and excellent infrastructure lure tourists by the millions. With our direct flights to Durban, you can experience Durban’s rich multi-cultural heritage in the Zulu and Indian markets and culturally significant attractions, walk the beautifully manicured parks along the water and taste delicious Indian-influenced cuisine. Surfing is also one of the more popular things to do in Durban. We look forward to flying you to Durban soon. As the adage goes, ‘The customer is not always right. But if you do not listen to them, your product won’t be either.’ Our customers asked for the relaunch of direct Durban flights, and we listened.
Whether you are flying for business or leisure, Proflight will get you to your destination safely and on time. On that note, thank you for choosing Proflight Zambia as your carrier of choice. We value your patronage, and I hope you have a delightful flight experience with us.
I thank you.
